The Status of Digital Children’s Rights
Roundtable, New York, September 21
During this Roundtable, we will discuss the status of digital children’s rights, based on UN General Comment 25 and the SDG Digital Agenda (UNDP/ITU). In this discussion, experts and young people will share perspectives and local experiences regarding digital rights and youth empowerment.
Young people and different stakeholders will discuss the status of digital children’s rights and youth empowerment in their own regions. We will discuss which topics should be prioritized and how we can promote cooperation, for example in the field of mental health and the well-being of young people.
In this session, we will also share the first edition of the Digital Child Rights Monitor on the status and progress of digital children’s rights in UN member states. This global interactive report is based on the Concluding Observations of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child.
